Ministries Everyone in the parish is a minister and most ministry takes place within people’s homes, at their places of employment, and among friends and neighbors. Ministry is the sharing of the Gospel message with others in various ways. The parish also calls its members to be involved in ministry through the following opportunities. Liturgical Ministry The weekly celebration of Sunday liturgy involves everyone in conscious and full participation. You can participate in any of these ministries. Lector Sharing the Word of God by proclaiming it is a special calling. If you are interested and committed to the Scriptures, please contact Jackie Venzel (419-874-8308) Eucharistic Minister To be trained and installed as an extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, you must be deeply committed to a Eucharistic spirituality. Please contact Karl or Geri Neiling (419-878-8308) As the saint said, “Singing is praying twice.” Our music ministry is extremely important. Both singers and instrumentalists are welcome. You may contact Tina in the office Servers Anyone from fifth grade up is invited to become a server at a Sunday Mass. Please contact Fr. Herb to express your interest at 419-931-4494 Children’s Liturgy of the Word Our children, from age five through fifth grade, have their own Liturgy of the Word. Leaders, working with pre-planned materials and with partners, are invited to help with the children. If you would like to participate in a co-op nursery, willing to take your own turn, please contact Lisa Suelzer email (419-931-9040) Liturgical Environment and Art We are in the process of creating banners and other aspects of environmental art to enhance our liturgical celebrations. If you are interested and have time and/or talent, please contact Deb Frontiera (419-344-0632) Our parish involves many people in various aspects of faith formation. If you are interested in participating in either Generations of Faith or Sacramental Preparations, please contact Marla Overholt (419-931-9040) St. Vincent de Paul St. Vincent de Paul depends on support from many individuals who share our desire to help low-income persons meet basic needs and achieve self-sufficiency. Please consider joining the St. Vincent de Paul family and offering your support. To request specific information or make a contribution, please contact the parish office at 419-931-9040. Pastoral Care Outreach to the sick or otherwise hurting parishioners (and non-parishioners) is also being developed. Please watch for more details. C.H.O.W (Catholics Helping Others Willingly) CHOW: (Catholics Helping Others Willingly) is a group that provides funeral lunches as well as food to people in the homes at times of need. Contact the office at 419-931-9040. The Parish Youth program is being developed
around three areas: fun, service, and insight. The “fun” area is to offer
Catholic young people, who attend various high schools, an opportunity to
interact and enjoy each other’s company. The “service” will help provide
opportunities for members to reach out to those in need. “Insight” will center
